Facts about SAVANNAH

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier/Husky Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
SAVANNAH is possibly a Husky/Pit bull mix, but we really don't know for sure. She weighs around 55 lbs and her approximate D.O.B. is 4/30/14. We do know that she has had a rough life up until now. She has been chained outside her entire life and has had several litters of puppies. She was turned into the shelter with yet another litter of her puppies which were 5 weeks old at the time. They were taken away from her and pulled by rescue, but that rescue only took the puppies and they left poor Savannah behind. She has an old scar on her neck which is possibly from an embedded collar or from the chain that she had around her neck when found. Savannah is a sweetheart and has adjusted surprisingly well to indoor life. She is crate trained, house trained and loves to play, but will settle down and snuggle when she is told that play time is over. Savannah loves to go for long walks and she walks pretty well on a leash however she does tend to try and chase birds and squirrels. She has been spayed, is up to date on shots, has been de-wormed, tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly prevention. She is also microchipped. Please pray for all those mother dogs that get left behind, that they may be as lucky as Savannah.

About Coastal Canine Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of people that work full time at "normal" jobs, but we also feel in our hearts that we want to make a difference. Each of us have multiple pets and we just want to share our love with the pets that other people discard for one reason or another. We want to show that abandoned, lost or hurt dog that there is still love in the world and we can find it for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do most of our adoptions on line, but do attend Petsmart on Saturdays. Not all of our pets are ready to come to Petsmart so even if our pets are not there, we will be there to take applications or to show you our book of pets that are available.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is similar to other Rescue groups. You will need to fill out an adoption application, provide a vet reference and tell us a little about yourself and why you want to adopt a rescue dog. Our adoption fees are $200 which includes all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm testing/heartworm free, wormings and spay or neutering of the dog. Senior dog adoption fees may be waived depending on the age and health of the dog.
