Jema's Story...
Meet Jema, formerly Fancy. Jema is a SPECIAL NEEDS little girl. Jema is 9 lbs. and around 5 yr old shih-tzu. Jema was rescued from our local kill shelter. Her paperwork said she had eye infection and chronic dry eye. Upon getting her to her foster home, we discovered that she could not see at all, she was running into walls. We are currently treating her eye infection and dry eye. She has made remarkable progress, she is now able to see but her vision is very limited. Jema will have to be on eye drops the rest of her life so she needs someone who will be able to fulfill her needs. Someone that is retired or works from home would be ideal.

Jema gets around her foster mom's house with no issues and her favorite thing to do is go to the dog park. She is just a bundle of love and loves to be a lap dog, loves other dogs, people big and small and is house trained. To meet this beautiful sweet, sweet girl, please fill out a interest form at www.ahome4spot.com and call her foster mom Carol at 702-232-8691.
There is an adoption fee

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jema, a Las Vegas Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Las Vegas, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Las Vegas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Las Vegas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Las Vegas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Las Vegas paves the way for another one to be saved.
