Hugh's Story...
This Awesome rescue pet is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX and can be transported to a forever in the US and Canada for $550** once he completes his Heartworm treatment.

Greeting dog lovers, my name is a Hugh and I’m a San Antonio special doggie- I’m poodle mixed with sugar and spice and everything nice. I’m approx. 4 years old and 14lbs. I love playing and napping with the other dogs in my foster home. My foster mom’s kids and grand kids just love me too! I am housebroken and easy going and just happy to be hanging out with my people. I would love a home with another dog for company. I was rescued by CARE from the city shelter in San Antonio and had contracted heartworms when I was stray and thankfully CARE is going to treat the worms. Don’t worry as they are totally curable and not contagious. I’m am getting the best vet care and will have a great quality of life. I’m excited about my healthy and bright future and my forever family! Can I be your best little buddy?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hugh, a New York Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in New York, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
