Jed's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jed's Story...
Jed's foster mom says this of him: "Jed is a lovely boy who gets on well with cats/dogs. Lets you know if wants he out or needs attention. So far he has been great on a leash, tie out or in a kennel run. Jed is good riding in a car and with kids and strangers. (He's somewhat shy with strangers at first, but takes just a few minutes to decide that the person is safe.) Personality-wise, he takes the back seat to the dominate animal in the house, but lets you know (with his bark) about his take on what's happening. Jed has been crate trained at night which is not really needed as he will awaken if not let out just before bed time. Like most dogs, he will beg at the table. But I would not be afraid of a child giving him food because he takes food out of the hand gently and I can take the food dish with no problem when he is eating. He also knows some commands. As his foster mom, if I didn't need the room for more fosters, I would keep him in a minute!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jed, a Ferryville Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Ferryville, or seeking a Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Ferryville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ferryville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ferryville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Fox Terrier (Smooth)/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ferryville paves the way for another one to be saved.
