I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Albert is a 5 year old -- 22lb Yorkie/Airedale terrier mix that came to us from death row at Hancock County shelter. He had an injured paw at the time which has been treated and completely healed. He was so terrified when we got him he would howl and scream at the touch of humans. At first, we thought there was a medical issue but as he settled in to foster life the screaming and howling stopped. He now loves human contact and has bonded with his foster mom. He follows her everywhere and goes to work with her when he can. Albert does well with other dogs both large and small and he doesn't mind cats. He seems ok with children but hasn't been around any rambunctious children that doesn't treat him with respect. He is house and kennel trained. He walks well on a leash and does great in the car. Unfortunately, he came to us heartworm positive, BUT his AWESOME foster mom sponsored his treatment!! Albert is a special boy and has a lot of love to give. The adjustment period to his new home may take a few days considering how he will miss his foster mom who he has bonded with so well but that same relationship can be built with his new owner. It will be a lifetime of love and loyalty and will be worth the small amount of patience needed to give Albert time to settle in to his new environment.
All dogs have a $150 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
