**BASIC INQUIRIES ASKING QUESTIONS THAT ARE PROVIDED WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. ** WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE EXISTING PETS/ FAMILY/ PAYING JOBS. OUR TIME IS IN SHORT SUPPLY AND WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING

Where did this pet originally come from to you? friend of a friend in Hamilton needed to get a wallee a home.


HOUSE INFO:
Is this animal a house pet? YES
Is the animal house-trained? He is only trained to use his doggy door, lets himself in and out.
Does the animal ever have house-training issues? without the doggy door he would.
How do you handle house-training errors? only use the doggy door
Is the animal crate trained? Yes he has a crate even open door where he goes into when he even wants too, not afraid of the crate.
Does the animal chew or scratch household items? no just his toys
Does it get into the garbage? no
Where does he/she stay thru day/ night when no one is home.? in the house he is good in the house freely.

Does it try and get over or under fences? no
Is the pet protective of fence space? what does this mean???
Is the pet a barker ? or just alerting? Alerter...Wallee loves outside and has a dog run plus he is taken for long walks daily



EXPOSURE INFO:
What ages of children was it living with? Hasn't lived with kids but likes the grand kids and children.
- If none- has the pet had exposure to kids? Ages? Reaction ? grandkids 12 yrs old and up.
How does the pet react to kids at a distance/ on leash ? Really friendly wags his tail not a cross dog.

Exposure to strangers? reaction on walks or at the door/ in home ? Little nervous around men, likes women even though his owner is male, he is a calm male quiet male...not a loud male.

Is it good with cats? reaction?- on/off leash ? Yes he loves cats lived with one.
Is it good with dogs? sizes/ reaction?- on/ off leash? Yes he likes other dogs.
Is this dog used to sharing its space / toys with other pets/ dogs if visiting etc? Reaction ? He's friendly Walle loves everyone.
-If yes… how does he/she react ?
Does it chase after cars, or horses and buggies or bikes or people? He would chase a squirrel, not cars but he hope he does not run freely without protection.
Does the dog ride well in the car? Yes he LOVES the car and gets excited when you ask him if he wants too
-if no what are the pets struggles ?
Has it been exposed to livestock or horses? NO

OBEDIENCE / TRAINING :
Does the dog play games? sits for a treat, not a ball player etc...no games.
Has this pet had any obedience training? Maybe when a puppy but he does whatever you ask him to do he is smart and socialized.
-Where ? and trainer info if we may contact them for additional feedback/ info ?
What commands does it know? no professional training...just love and attention from owner and smart

PERSONALITY/ BEHAVIOURS/ :


Would you say your pet is a stable, well mannered, pet ? YES YES YES
-or a bit rough around the edges –needing additional basic training needs? He only knows to use the freedom of a doggy door, so he would pee in the house otherwise if he could not see the dog door to go out on his own, with a dog door he would NEVER pee or poo in house.

Personality/ reaction- with those it knows? wags tail happy to see you friendly.
Personality/ reaction- with strangers ? a little shy at first
Has the animal ever shown aggression to anyone or anything? NO
Has the animal ever bitten in the past? NO
-if yes please explain situation/ trigger/ outcome .

Are there any behavioral problems? If yes what are they ? NONE just the house training only uses the dog door
Is there any separation issues? Yes he would miss his owner Jim right now of course cause JIm loves him and he loves Jim....so they are always together...he is not alone too much
Are there any fears? If you went to try to hit him or make that kind of gesture he gets nervous
-to what and how does the pet react?
Are there any possession issues with food/ toys/ space towards people/ kids or other pets ? USE common sense, he would not attack anyone, but use common sense he is a dog...but he is not possessive on things or people.



ROUTINE:
Where is the animal kept during the day? in the house freely.
Where is it kept at night? IN the house freely he is part of the family sleeps in the bed with Jim. watching tv

How long is this animal generally left alone in a day? 6 hrs Jim is retired..and Wallee remember uses doggy door with a dog run.
Is it ever kept outside, and if so, for how long? NO only if JIm is with him...
Is it used to being chained or kenneled or running free? 25 foot chain for when I am outside working so he can join me or a fenced in yard. Never been to a kennel, I am retired so he is always mostly with me...

Have you ever boarded the animal or had a pet sitter out of your home environment? NO
What is the animal being fed? dry dog food Petagree
Is it free fed? Just keep a full dish yes...free fed.
How much per day? Big Jug of water, but he drinks normal amount of water dogs need water ...
Is it used to bottled water? tap if you can drink he can drink it...

Please provide this pets current routine: In the morning wallee follows Jim around ( goes out on his own ...key to remember he is a dog door user free to go and come when he wants...may take him for a walk after breakfast drive likes when you talk to him, he is a family friendly dog, if he could have a retired owner that be good someone with him or teenagers that will love him and family...he loves walks he is ayoung dog and very able to learn...



The best home for this pet would be : Someone who would love him and have patience to help him adjust to the new owner and help him be house trained but even better have a doggy door for free in and out too...or teach him both. Gentle owners who love animals and treat them as family...Wallee loves people but will miss Jim so take time to help him adjust...

1. We require a fully filled app to be considered as a possible home
2. Only the approved app will be premitted a viewing with the pet ** in the foster home **
3. ALL family members MUST meet the dog ** in the foser home** .
4. Any exsisting pets MUST attend the meet/ greet with the dog ** at the foster home ** .
5. A home visit must be completed as part of the adoption process after the inital viewing by a rescue representative.
This is not a replacement of the meet/ greet at the Foster home.
6. We do not adopt outside of ONTARIO .
7. We do not deliver dogs. If and once the adoption process is approved and complete the dog must be picked up at the
foster home
