Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Misha is the most wonderful dog to be around. When first meeting her she is shy and will take some time to warm up to new people. But once she is comfortable, she becomes very affectionate and playful. Misha has lots of energy and would do great with an active family. She has been going on long walks every day and is developing her leash skills. She loves playing with other dogs and is very excited to meet them. She loves her stuffed animals and is learning fetch. Misha sleeps in bed with her foster parents. Since someone is usually home, Misha has been kenneled only for about an hour. She absolutely loves kids and would be a great family dog. Misha has been visiting her foster mom’s place of work, a group home where she is being socialized to special needs clients. She knows to go to the door when she needs to go out and is working on perfecting that. Misha is estimated to be about 9 months old and weighs about 22 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.
Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday April 16, 2016, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
