Carnation's Story...
Carnation is a four-year-old black and white female cat. Carnation’s owner unfortunately had a change in life circumstances, so Carnation came to us. She’s a big girl, coming in at 13 pounds. Carnation loves attention, and will do somersaults to catch your eye. She loves to be with human companions, and her favorite activity is getting her head scratched. Carnation will put her head in your hand, letting you know it’s time for you to scratch the head of your favorite feline!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten, please feel free to fill out an application on our website. Approved applications will receive a response within two business days. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carnation, a Warwick Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Warwick, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Warwick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warwick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warwick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warwick paves the way for another one to be saved.
