My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daisy and a puppy were dumped on a mountain road on 1/30/16. Pitiful shape, all bones visible, pads all 4 feet had deep, open sores. She couldn't stand much less walk. She had scrapes, scratches and scabs all over her and her hair came out in little clumps when we brushed her. She was taken to vet on 2/1/16 for exam: weighed 18 pounds, obviously malnourished; had Distemper, Adenovirus2, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis and Rabies vaccines. Started her on Bravecto for fleas/ticks and Tri-Heart for heart worm (she tested negative for heart worms). Was also wormed and given an antibiotic to help feet heal. On 2/11/16 she was up to 20# and was healthy enough for spaying. The vet thinks she has had several litters. He estimates she's about 5 years old.
Daisy travels like a dream! Her foster mom took her to Florida on 2/13/16 and she didn't make a peep the entire way (in a kennel). She adapted so well to being in a condo, house trained--no accidents indoors, sleeps in her kennel that she goes into without a fuss. We started daily walks on a leash and she's now up to 2 miles--the best news: her feet have completely healed! All you have to do is get out her leash and she's ready to go. We use a harness vs her collar and have not had issues with her pulling. She's all nose as beagles are. Normally does her business within 5-10 minutes of her walk.
Daisy now weighs 21.6 pounds and is really beginning to get her figure back! Her foster mom says she is the most sweet natured dog she has ever encountered and has tolerated their nasty tempered little poodle without a growl or nip. It's unbelievable how loving she is, knowing how she must have been treated. If you would like to give this special girl her forever home, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com
