Toffee's Story...
Toffee #4418 is a 3-year-old-old-female, Whippet/ Cur mix. This young lady is very sweet but very high energy. She is house broken/ kennel trained, and working on leash training. She is dog friendly though dominate and plays rough. She loves to be the center of attention. Good with kids and very gentle. Toffee would need a fenced yard and lots of play time. Sure to fit in well with any active family! She will chew if left to her own devices, would benefit from chew toys in yard and house. She is 38 pounds and full grown. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an "old" dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions.Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toffee, a Waldorf Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Whippet for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Whippet dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Whippet breeders who help with Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
