My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Shih Tzu
DOB: 2006
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 16 pounds

Here’s my deal – I have dry eye and need drops put in them every day so that they don’t become crusty or injured, but other than that, I am pretty healthy and I am a very nice boy. I LOVE children and even ran over to them when I was at the adoption event. They were nice and wanted to pet me so I rolled over so they could rub my belly, too.
I like attention but I am very polite about it and if you are busy, I just go and take a nap in a doggie bed. But when I know the human is going to go to sleep for the night, I run right into the bedroom and wait for help to get up on the bed. I like to sleep near the end and I am very good about being quiet and not bothering anyone.
Living with other dogs is just fine with me. I haven’t met any cats and since I was an unclaimed stray, no one could tell the shelter staff if I was good with them or not.

Our application can be found online at here.

Our adoption fee for dogs that are not seniors is $220. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm.
Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
