My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

NAME: Timmy
GENDER: Male (Neutered)
AGE: About 2 years
WEIGHT: About 4 Pounds
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDRED: Due to small size, recommend all adult home or home with older children

Meet our handsome bundle of joy - Timmy. This little boy is looking for a family to help him feel safe and loved, and we are excited about helping him find his forever home.

Timmy's life with CRT began when we found out that a chi had been found in a vacant home. Turns out, Timmy's original owner had to be placed in a hospital and was considered critical. Somehow, Timmy got left behind in the house and no one knew! This poor soul, apparently had no family or friends either because if it hadn't been for the new family who was moving into his old house, Timmy might never have survived!

As you can imagine, Timmy was one scared tiny little guy. Our volunteer had to use special gloves to get him without being bitten. When Timmy got into his foster home, our volunteer spent some quality time earning Timmy's trust. Once that took place, Timmy settled in and was very happy!! Timmy began to trust others fairly quickly too.

Timmy is 4 pounds of cuteness. He is fully grown at his estimated age of about 2 years. Timmy enjoys toys (although sharing with the other dogs is not always an option). He also loves quality lap time with his people. And Timmy loves to play with
his foster buddies that are his size.

Timmy is potty trained, but he wants you to go outside with him! This is a great practice anyway. Because of his tiny size, you will want to be out in the yard with him to protect him (there are cases of larger birds such as hawks snatching tiny dogs less than 5 pounds and flying off with them). Timmy is crate trained and will let you know when it is time for you to wake up. Other than that, he doesn't really vocalize much. I'm sure if he were to sleep in the bed with you, then he wouldn't mind sleeping in too.

Because of his small size, Timmy will do better in an all adult home, or a home with older children (13 or older). Timmy needs his next family to be forever so he never has to be worried about being left behind again!!!

Timmy is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
