Chloe's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

My name is Chloe and I am a three year old spayed Tortoiseshell with an amazingly sweet purrsonality. My story is the usual heart breaking one, my owners abandoned me and then I was hit by a car. If it wasn't for some nice ladies who found me and rescued me I would never have made it. I was emaciated and dehydrated and limping from my injuries. I have healed very well and I am now looking for my permanent home where I will be loved and cared for the way I should be. I would do well as an only cat since I prefer to be the center of attention and tend to get into tiffs with other kitties. They just don't understand me. I am hoping that my new family will come for me soon. I am waiting for you in a foster home in Woburn.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Wakefield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Wakefield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Wakefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wakefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wakefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wakefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
