Here's what the humans have to say about me:
How sweet is Sammy? He charms dog and cat people alike!
Sammy was at a local high-kill shelter, in danger of dying from a severe heartworm infestation or euthanasia, whichever came first. A kind person there volunteering with the cats saw beyond the sickness and sprung Sammy immediately. Fast forward to today and after months of treatment, Sammy has been pulled back from the brink of death and is enjoying life and is ready to find a place to call home!
Might it be yours? The heartworms are gone, and Sammy now shows off many wonderful qualities, including:
Good manners—He is house trained; knows sit, go, and outside. Sammy pulls on the leash, but his love of food will make further training easy peasy.
Expert-level cuddler—Do you like to curl up on the couch and watch TV? Sammy does, and he’s ready for the new “Game of Thrones” season.
Laid-back personality—Sammy doesn’t mind being left alone in his crate, especially with a treat-filled Kong, and he enjoys baths and car rides..
Sammy is a sweet dog who loves meeting new people. He is currently accepting applications and conducting interviews. Stop by to say hi and see if you’re the lucky one to take him home!
He has chronic bronchitis from past severe heartworms.
