Peyton is a mixed bag of lots of different breeds, amounting to one heck of a great dog! He's got a little hound dog in there, some lab maybe, and a little pit bull too, but who cares about the breed when it's his fantastic personality that counts. Peyton is a loyal and loving boy that is about 4 years old and came to us from our Newark facility after being found as a stray. The person that lost Peyton and never came looking for him really lost out on such a good boy. We didn't quite know what to make of Peyton when he arrived. He was certainly nice enough and so well behaved for his veterinary exam but then when he went in the kennel, he became a bit barky and withdrawn. We quickly discovered that the kennel-Peyton is absolutely not at all who he is so if you'd like to meet him, please ask to meet him outside. Peyton is such a friendly, outgoing, lovable lug that just wants to be with you. It only takes him a minute of a sniff-test to realize that you're ok, then you're his best friend for life. Peyton is very well behaved and sits instantly when asked. He offers you a pawshake for a treat and walks well on a leash too. He is spunky and playful and he enjoys a good run in our exercise yard. Peyton seems indifferent with other dogs and would probably be fine with a well behaved dog his size.
