My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bentley is a real sweetheart of a dog! The coloring around his eyes and mouth are very distinctive. Although he weighs 50 pounds, his frame is built like a smaller shepherd. This boy is still a youngster about 1 to 1.5 years old. He gets along with other dogs very well, But really, really loves people, he will follow you around everywhere you go. When we initially fostered Bentley, he thought he was a lap dog. He tried to make himself at home on the furniture but we have pretty much cured him of that, though he will sweetly put a paw on your lap when he thinks he's not getting enough attention. He loves being out in the yard and will chase a tennis ball for as long as you have the strength to throw it. Chasing birds is one of his favorite yard exercises. He has never tried to escape our yard so no worries about him being an escape artist. He takes baths very well, and was bathed in the tub since the weather outside is not desirable and he just stood there and took it calmly. He is still very much a puppy at heart and has a lot of energy and when excited he still jumps and could possibly knock down younger children, but we are working on this. Bentley would make a great addition for an active family or person.

Bentley is currently fostered near Huntsville/Madison, Alabama. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, Rabies, microchipped, and Heartworm negative. If you'd like more information about the adoption process please email info@FORrescue.net or apply directly at forrescue.net/dog-application/ Once we receive your application we will forward it to his foster parents and they can tell you all about this friendly guy.
