My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie Lewis is a 1-2 year old hound mix who is very sweet. He loves people and loves to say hi and wag his tail for everyone he meets. He is good with other dogs once he gets to know them (he is slightly wary when he meets a new dog). He absolutely loves to go for walks and play with his toys. As for cats, he is fine with them if they are fine with him. If they are scared and run from him, he'll give chase but if they are chill with him, he is chill with them. He is good in the house - steals a slipper now and then. Initially in his foster home, he did not understand house training but the other dogs in the house seem to have taught him that it's not OK to go in the house so he is doing good with house training with only a minor accident once in a while. He is well on the way to mastering house training. Louie is just a very sweet boy. In his foster home, he is getting along well with 2 other dogs and multiple cats. He would love to be with a family that will take him for walks and outings to the park. He is very sweet to children he meets at the park.

Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
