Lola's Story...
This little girl has the best personality & makes us smile everyday! As you will see in the VIDEO, she really likes the dog on the Adopt a Pet commercial! Lola arrived at the shelter terrified and was heartworm positive. It took her no time to adjust at our house. She loves her foster siblings, children & everybody for that matter. Her treatment for heartworms was completed on 3/3 & will be ready to travel to her new home soon. She really like other dogs, so if you have them, that’s great. If not, she is super good with being the only pup getting your love. She has a HUGE personality for such a little girl & is seriously so much fun. Lola is house trained & so very smart, she learned to use our doggy door within a day! Her beautiful brindle coat is so soft. She is approx 9 months old & her weight as of 3/11 is 28 lbs & won't be larger than 35 lbs when full grown. Lola is currently being fostered in Tennessee. Feel free to contact her foster mom, Alecia Clark @ 901-486-2850 (via text or call), if you have any questions. Once adopted she will travel to his new forever home via transport. The adoption fee of $460.00 includes her vaccinations, spay, microchip, current heartworm prevention and transport fee to her new forever home. For an adoption application please visit Bluescityanimalrescue.net and email it to Baversa1@gmail.com

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CALL AHEAD AND GIVE YOUR VET PERMISSION TO SPEAK WITH US!

All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Fishkill Catahoula Leopard Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Fishkill, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Fishkill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fishkill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fishkill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fishkill paves the way for another one to be saved.
