Keiko's Story...
Keiko is something else. This 9lb little girl is the boss. My 20lb beast doesn't mess with her, not even for food! She can push him right out of the way! She's such a chatty little thing, telling me all about her day when I get home. And quite the dancer, she takes off at a run, does a quick spin, runs some more, and then does it all over again. She's not the biggest fan of being picked up, but she does love to cuddle and be in the same room as you.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on shots, combo tested negative for FIV/Leukemia and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Keiko, a Covington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Covington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
