My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In addition to the following profile for this dog, please first read the Adoption Information at http://www.shihtzurescuemn.org/adopt.html to understand the process, requirements and timeline for adoption. An adoption application can also be found in the Adoption Info section. If, after reading that information, you have any questions, please submit your question via e-mail and it will be answered. Please do not request a phone call. A personal phone call will only be made when an adoption application has been submitted and the foster parent wishes to consider the application. Thank you!

Paige is a happy, affectionate, bright Shih Tzu who is about three years old and weighs ten pounds. Her favorite activity is to curl up on the couch next to her foster parents and she lives for snuggling. She loves her foster sister and follows her around with toys asking her to play. Paige learns from other dogs and bonds quickly with them, often following them around and imitating play. Because of this Paige should have a forever home with another small dog. She is constantly making her foster parents laugh with her antics, and she has caught on to the routine in her foster home very fast. Even though she is playful and active, she is more than happy to spend her days lounging on your lap and cuddling for hours on end.

Paige has a neurological condition that she has most likely had since she was born. It causes her to have trouble balancing and sometimes she trips or tilts her head. Paige has a remarkable spirit that is not
slowed down by this issue. She is not on medication and there are no medical steps that need to be taken. Despite her clumsiness, she loves to go for long walks, run around the house, and wrestle with her foster sister. When Paige falls, she gets right back up. She needs to be carried up stairs and lifted onto the couch, but otherwise she is a normal, happy dog. Paige is looking for a family that can look past her condition and love her unconditionally. She would like to find a family that gives her some basic household rules to follow, laps to snuggle on, and adventures to go on.

Paige is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $320.00 plus $23.28 sales tax for a total of $343.28. Her foster parents would like her adopters
to live within 75 miles of the Twin Cities and encourage them to attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion in September.

To meet Paige, please complete an adoption application. Or you can also see her and the other dogs available for adoption from Shih Tzu Rescue of Minnesota by visiting with us from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Minnetonka Petco near Ridgedale the last Saturday of every month.
