MEET CC!

Absolutely adorable (her foster says she has the cutest face he has EVER seen!), super sweet and smart, CC is seeking a loving, caring forever home.
This fawn and white pix/boxer mix has been doing wonderfully in her foster home. She is great with other dogs; she is with her foster stepbrother right now. She loves to play, ADORES her humans, is an excellent snuggler and cuddler. One of her cutest traits is that she loves being totally encased in blankets when she sleeps! She is getting better every day on the leash. She is housetrained and crate trained. CC knows her basic commands such as sit, come and stay. Working on "leave it".

CC would thrive in a loving home with an experienced guardian; a home that's active and understands her need for daily sufficient exercise. She'd do best with older kids (10+) as she is still a bit of a puppy and is a bit jumpy (working on it!).

CC is about 2 1/2 yrs old and weighs about 50lbs. She is utd on her vaccinations and is spayed.

About Rebound Hounds ResQ - NY Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Rebound Hounds Res-Q believes that there’s a great home for every dog. How to make that happen is the real work of rescue. We’re committed to bringing dogs and guardians together who are right for each other. We do it by knowing the dog, and knowing the prospective guardian.

First, we know the dogs we place. We seek out temperament evaluations from ACC staff and ACC volunteers in the attempt to pair dogs with the right home. It’s not perfect, but it goes a long way toward getting a feel for who the dog should go to.

Next, we learn about the adopters. We look at lifestyle, energy level, experience, tolerances. It’s communicating about expectations and commitment, not just for the next few weeks when the dog comes into their life, but for life.

Last, we stay in touch. After the initial home visit, we’re available to offer help, support and advice. We welcome knowing how everyone is settling in. Pictures are great, an occasional email. Our job is to support the owner and dog throughout the process.

Shelter dogs are a unique challenge because they have pasts we often can’t know. What we do know is that once matched with the right guardian — with time, respect and patience — a shelter dog offers unparalleled love and gratitude every day, in every way, to the person who saved them. It is unlike any other relationship on earth.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption application, references, and vet reference required.

Once these are completed, Home visit arranged, followed by meet and greet. This ensures that the adoptive home and pet are the best possible match.
