My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 6 years
Gender: Male
Color: Black & White
Weight: 77 lbs
Variety: Bench

Bud, also known as "Hamburger" (!), is an easygoing Springer who loves everyone he meets. He doesn't have many needs other than someone to love him and show him the attention he seeks and deserves. Bud's favorite activity is acting as the perfect example of a Velcro Springer while hanging out with his foster family.

When Bud's foster family is at work, he enjoys free rein of the house, and he behaves well. He is housetrained and has great house manners. Bud likes to lounge in the sun and sleep while his foster family is away. However, sleeping isn't the only thing Bud should be doing. Although he has a large build, Bud's Forever Family should be committed to keeping him in good shape by giving him regular walks. He could also use some continuing basic obedience training, specifically in walking etiquette, as he likes to pull on the leash.

Bud gets along with most dogs, but he would prefer to be the only dog in his new home, as he would like to be the center of his people's attention. His original family included small children, and Bud did great with them.

If you are looking for a very friendly, cuddly-soft teddy bear who longs to be a loyal companion, then Bud is your boy! He is one of the most mellow, loving, and sweet dogs we know, and he is patiently waiting for his Forever Home. If you think that home might be yours, please contact his case managers at the e-mail address below.

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.

Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Bud.
