My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dexter, Dex as his foster Dad calls him. Dex is a wee little guy at 4 lbs. His age is estimated to be from eight to ten years old. Dex is an amazing guy because he has overcome some serious circumstances. When Dex was examined by our veterinarian, it was discovered that he had been shot five times with a BB gun. Dex still has four BB’s that remain in his belly area and with scar tissue surrounding the BB’s, they should not be removed. He was also shot in his right eye which has caused blindness in that eye but the eye is intact. Dex is a very lovable guy. He showers with kisses and loves to roll over and over to get belly rubs and to rub his face on the soft blankets. Dex has had some training. He walks OK on a leash and knows how to sit politely for a treat. He is potty trained to go outside. Dex is a sensitive guy as he tries to protect himself if startled when someone approaches him from the bad eye. Dex will need someone who understands his sensitivity. He’ll need a patient groomer when he needs a haircut. Dex is a really fun dog! He loves to dig through the toy box and get every toy out to find the one he wants to play with. Dexter has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, had labs, fecal and a dental.
