My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joy is a stunningly beautiful black domestic short hair/ Bombay mix kitten who was born in September 2015. She may be a shelter kitty, but she has been blessed with the Bombay cat's proverbial soft, sleek, gleaming, patent-leather coat and round copper-penny eyes. As you can see from her photo, she is lithe and agile despite her deceptively heavy, muscular body.
Joy is well named in that she is sweet, affectionate, and loving. An added bonus is that she is very compatible with the big dog and other cats in her foster home. Won't you be the lucky one who adopts this precious little panther to find out if her purr-motor really sounds like a perking coffee pot?
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black or Bombay mix cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the 2-3 minute You Tube video that appeared on Animal Planet by Googling "Cats 101 Bombay."
Joy is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends.
