Blaze's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Blaze's Story...
Blaze is a 9 week old gsd pup that is full of energy- and full of himself at times! He is an unusually marked puppy but his colors are changing and blending as he grows, which is quite typical of the breed. He's outgoing for the most part but also knows when to come running to his foster mom, too. Blaze is a very loving puppy.

Blaze and his 5 littermates were rescued June 19, 2008 from the Shelby County Humane shelter. Their owners gave them up because they didn't have time for them. Reportedly both parent dogs are full blooded German Shepherds.

This puppy will not be available for adoption until after his neuter surgery. However, GSRCA is taking applications now. Neuter surgery is tenatively scheduled for August 14th.

This dog is crate trained, spayed or neutered, up to date on shots and HW negative. Adoption application, home visit, and $350 adoption fee are required.

Please read our adoption requirements on our home page. Many of your questions can be answered here. We welcome your phone call, but for a faster response, it is best to email us your specific questions.

After reviewing GSRCA’s adoption process, please fill out the application completely. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE PROCESSED! This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until the application has been received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blaze, a Pike Road German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pike Road, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Pike Road.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pike Road already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pike Road breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pike Road paves the way for another one to be saved.
