Biscuit's Story...
Biscuit is a 1 -2 year old spayed Dachshund/Basset mix that only weighs 20 to 25 pounds. She was running loose at a factory for a couple of months and had it not been for some very kind and caring employeeÂ’s of that plant, Biscuit would never have survived. Once caught by the manager, she was able to receive the vetting and care she desperately needed. Because of her ordeal, Biscuit is a little timid but is starting to warm up to people and other dogs as well. She is just adorable. She is current with her shots, wormed, micro chipped and will go home with her first 30 days of heart worm prevention. If you are interested in meeting Biscuit, please call 972-965-3287. A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other rescue animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Biscuit, a Lavon Dachshund/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Basset Hound for sale in Lavon, or seeking a Dachshund/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Lavon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lavon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lavon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Basset Hound breeders who help with Dachshund/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lavon paves the way for another one to be saved.
