Donny's Story...
Hi I'm Donny & I'm looking for family that loves to be loved. I have energy for running and playing but when playtime is over, I'm happy to cuddle. I'm a 1 year old neutered ACD/Heeler mix that is current with my shots, worming, and on heart worm prevention. I also have one of those microchips - so I can be identified if I were to ever get lost. It was hot this summer so I've got a new shaved hairdo - but in the winter, I've medium length dark hair. My doggie habits and manners are good but, because of my breed and the fact that I enjoy the company of adults more than anything, a home without children would be best for me. If you would like to meet me please call 469-698-8898 to make arrangements. A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other rescue animals in need.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Donny, a Lavon Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Lavon, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Lavon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lavon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lavon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lavon paves the way for another one to be saved.
