Drake's Story...
This is Drake, a 9-week-old neutered purebred Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler rescued as part of a puppy mill raid and now in search of a home and family where he will be treated with the love and respect he deserves. We have started working with him on the many social manners puppies need to have in order for them to become well-adjusted and accepted family members. He is current with his puppy shots, has been wormed, micro chipped, and will go home with his first month of heartworm prevention. If you would like to meet this special little guy, Please call 469-698-8898 to make arrangements. A re-homing fee is being asked and will be used to help other rescue animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drake, a Lavon Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Lavon, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Lavon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lavon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lavon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lavon paves the way for another one to be saved.
