Myrtille's Story...

Myrtille is a very brave young cat. Still practically a kitten herself, she was found near a high school with her three-week-old kittens. They had been abandoned in a tiny and uncomfortable box, with no blankets, food, or water. A Refuge volunteer who worked there took them in hand. Surrounded by a crowd of students, Myrtille, although scared, stayed lying with her babies, defying the world to protect her kittens. Myrtille is very affectionate and gentle with humans, but for the moment, she does not like having other cats get near her babies which she defends like a real hyena.
