My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

August 17, 2008

Located in Southern California

Hi. My name is HuiDa (pronounced WeeDa) and I weigh approximately 35 pounds.

I don't know why but my former owner dumped me, my husband and 4 ten day old pups at the local animal shelter.

My husband wasn't happy and he let everyone know it. The problem is, they took him away and I never saw him again.

I was put in a room with other moms and their pups. After about a week or so, I started coming down with a cold so the shelter moved me into the sick ward. I thought I would never get away from all those sick dogs until one day when this nice lady from an animal rescue group showed up and took me and my pups out of the shelter and took us to her home. I was so happy to be out of there.

The problem is, a few days later my pups started getting really sick. I found out that they had distemper!

The rescue group tried everything they could to save their lives, but they were just too young to beat that nasty disease. I hope they are up in doggy heaven with their dad by their side. I miss them all terribly.

My one wish in life is to find a permanent home with a family. I am very friendly, sweet, loving and get along well with other dogs.

I really want to show everyone that I didn't belong in a shelter. I am a good dog and I love everyone I meet.
