Hunter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Hunter's Story...
Hunter had very bad teeth and we had his dental taken care of and had him neutered, He also had a hernia repaired at the same time. We seems to be hearing impaired and possibly deaf. He would do best in a calm household to live out his remaining years. He is thought to be about 10 and, being a small breed, should have plenty more years to enjoy and share some love. He is very sweet. Call 304-782-4900.

If you would like to contribute to his and/or Arabella's (gun shot) vet bills, you can send a check to:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Salem Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Salem, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
