Winston's Story...

Please say hello to Winston.  Winston is a sweet guy who likes everyone.  He is a loving and playful dog who is good on a leash and has excellent house manners.  Winston enjoys playing with doggy toys, napping on a soft blanket, and snacking on a tasty dog treat.

Winston is about 3 years old.  So he is all grown up and through the "puppy stage" of doghood.  He is up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative and on preventative.

If you would like to meet Winston, or if you would like more information about him or about adopting him, please email us at contact@flashlafayette.org.

Thank you for making the positive choice to adopt!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winston, a Lafayette Standard Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Standard Schnauzer for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Standard Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Standard Schnauzer breeders who help with Standard Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
