My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charity!

Charity was in the pound for 5 days and after her waiting period she went to the vet to get spayed. We weren't quite sure what we were going to do with her yet, reports were she was pretty wild but she was small so most likely a kitten.
Since her trip to the vet we now know...

1) She is an adult, a VERY small petite adult. When guessing her age based on size she looked to be 5 months, but based on her teeth they are guessing her to be a year old.

2) Not really wild, just really really scared. Not at all aggressive, just scared of
sudden movements or sounds.

3) She has some tendon issues in her left back leg. The vet x-rayed it but it doesn't look like anything was ever broken. She really can't bend it and as a result can't run and climb as effectively as as other cats. It doesn't appear to hurt her, she just walks with a limp and may have had this since birth.

We brought her to The Litter Box on March 11. She has comes leaps and bounds since then. She enjoys being pet and is learning to trust. She eats great and uses the litter box all of the time. Charity needs to go to a home without small children. We don't believe she would hurt them in any way, but their quick movements could send her into hiding a lot.

We have her in house and are working with her. If you are a cat person and would like to be the ending of an adoption of a true rescue contact us to visit Charity.

You may contact us at adoptapet@thelitterbox.net or (308) 280-0301.

The Litter Box has a $40 adoption fee.
