Baxter's Story...
Baxter is a sweet and precious male lab/border collie mix.. He is a year old and is a nice size dog, weighing about 45 pounds. He is full of play and loves to give kisses. Baxter is a good boy and has a lot of playful energy. He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves people and gets along with other dogs. Baxter would likely do best in an active household with a family that enjoys the outdoors, or a family that has another dog for Baxter to romp and play with outside. He would also do best in a home with older children, as he might unintentionally jump and injury a smaller child.

He is up to date with his vaccines, including his boosters, rabies and bordatella. He has also been microchipped and is neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Old Bridge Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie for sale in Old Bridge, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Old Bridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Bridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Bridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Border Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Bridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
