Lucy's Story...
Lucy
2 years old
Fun loving and ready to go! Lucy was signed over to our shelter when she was too much energy for her previous owners. Her previous owners did let us know that she has been housebroken, likes other male dogs, knows a few basic commands, doesn’t care for cats and likes children but can be a little rambunctious. Lucy is the life of the party and will be running around to greet every new person she sees and trying to get someone to chase her around the yard. She would love an active family who can wear her out and work with her on basic manners. Lucy is a fun and fun loving girl looking for her second chance at a forever family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Fruit Heights Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Fruit Heights, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Fruit Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fruit Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fruit Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fruit Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
