Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Mia (pronounced Myah). I was brought to AAP because my daddy died. It has been so very hard to adjust to living without my daddy. A new foster mommy, new house, new rules, new toys, foster siblings.....everything has been so scary and confusing. The first few days I didn't eat and just layed in a corner curled up & whined because I was so so sad. I am slowing coming out of my shell & that makes my foster mom so very happy to see. I follow my foster mom around the house so I can keep her in sight. I am back to wagging my tail....I eat most of the time, sometimes not tho when I'm sad.....getting into my new routine....realizing my foster siblings are ok & a couple I would even like to play with. My foster mom is real nice and let's me sleep in bed with her under the covers....so toasty warm....she tells me it is all going to be ok. She gives me belly rubs and tells me I'm a good girl. I have learned to go out the doggie door, when it's open, to go outside. I know to potty outside, but have had some confusion since I have been moved & stressed. Since I am a sight hound, I will require a fenced in yard because we like to chase critters like rabbits & squirrels. I think I would be find with older kids, but little ones are too quick & loud for me. If you have extra space on your couch, in your bed & in your heart for a sweet girl like me, please come meet me …. Mia is spayed, up to date on shots, rabies vaccine, heartworm preventative, de-wormed, had a dental and microchipped. Mia’s adoption fee is $250. She would do best in a home without very young children. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport, WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS.
