Shasta's Story...
Shasta is a 6-8 month old Italian Greyhoud puppy. She is black with a white chest. Shasta currently has no clue about potty training and will need somebody to be patient with her since she is a puppy and is learning from the beginning. She is very submissive and loves to get attention. Yet she is very rough and playful like most puppies and will need a home that is ready for a ball of energy. She doesn't bark much, but has when she could hear the dogs next door patroling the fence. Shasta likes to run and ALWAYS will need to be on a leash so she doesn't run off trying to catch a squirrel or rabbit. She seems to like to chase rodents in the short time we have had her. Shasta is currently 12 lbs, and probably will be a larger size IG at anywhere from 16-19 lbs. Shasta is being fostered in Lincoln, NE and local adoptions are preferred.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shasta, a Lincoln Italian Greyhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Italian Greyhound puppy from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
