My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skippy is a very friendly, energetic 1+1/2 yr old boy. He is red fawn in color. He enjoys playing with other Iggys and people. He walks well on a leash, goes to his kennel when asked, and knows the sit command. Skippy especially likes to seek attention from people by jumping on them. Skippy is working on his potty habits, but has been doing well thus far. Skippy was just neutered and given shots in early August and is ready to find his new home now. He was turned in to rescue becuase his owner had a change of living situation and couldn't keep him any longer. She couldn't find a home that had basic knowledge of IGs so she decided that it would be best to let rescue help. If you are new to this breed please email and let us give you some information. They are very cute as puppies, but are very needy of attention. Skippy is being fostered in Omaha, NE. Local adoptions are preferred. UPDATE: Skippy slipped outside on a wet surface after it rained and has broken his leg and will need many weeks of rest before he will be ready to be adopted now. This demonstrates how easily their legs can break, and it is not cheap to fix. If you would like to contribute to help fix Skippy's leg, please email or make a donation on our home page. UPDATE: Skippy's leg healed incorrect so he has had a second surgery to correct this. Now he has a plate in his leg, and it is straight again.
