My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brittney is a dark seal and white Italian Greyhound who came to Nebraska IG Rescue from the O'Neill, Nebraska Humane Society. Brittney is a very sweet mellow IG, who is around 4 years of age. She loves to lay in your lap, and get attention. Brittney needs somebody who understands that she will need time to adjust to a slower lifestyle. Brittney is being fostered in Lincoln, NE.

Brittney and Halo both came from the Holt County Humane Society after they were seized by law enforcement at a home that had to many aniamls. From what we were told there were over 40 animals inside the home, and proper care was not being given to them. The girls both came in at least 4-5 lbs underweight (which is about one-third to one-half of their entire body weight). Both had ear mites, and skin conditions. They were used to sharing a very small cage together, so they get along well, and are kennel trained but not as socialized as most dogs. Unlike many mill or dog collector situations we have seen these girls are not agresssive, and love human contact so they should easily adjust to life in a new home.April 19, 2024, 12:17 am
