Shrek's Story...

Shrek is a 6 year old male Italian Greyhound.  Shrek was turned into rescue with Ozzy & Kaycee from a breeder that decided to quit breeding.  Shrek enjoys attention once he gets to know you.  He broke his leg at his previous home and although it healed, it did not heal straight.  He has total use of the leg and runs around on it with only a slight limp.  He even tends to 'wave' with his foot.  One of his ears is a bit shorter from being chewed on by his mother when he was a baby. In spite of his physical quirks he is a very sweet boy, they just add character.  Shrek gets along well with other dogs and does very well in a crate by himself. His birth date is 6-22-2005 and he is already microchipped.  Shrek's full sister is Kaycee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shrek, a Lincoln Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
