My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cool Jay and I met under some sad circumstances. He has been hit by a vehicle and had collapsed on the steaming asphalt in the parking lot of a body shop on Democrat. It was a hot day in Memphis. He was bleeding from the mouth and I remember trying to use my body to shield him, to block the hot summer rays of the sun. Cool Jay had blood coming from his mouth and he appeared to have neurological damage to his neck. Amanda Buchanan, Lauren Love and I loaded up Cool Jay and he never uttered a growl. He was in so much pain but he was not aggressive. That impressed me a lot. I really got good vibes from this boy. So fast forward, after rehabilitation therapy and some other alternative methods of healing, Cool Jay has recovered nicely. He is one happy dog. When properly introduced, he is also great with other dogs. Cool Jay is everything a sound pit bull should be! His broken pelvis healed and his front leg has recovered 60% (Per Dr. Pearce, Stage Road Animal Hospital). He can run and play normally with other dogs. All Cool Jay needs now is a forever home. Cool Jay has been fostered in a home environment since day one of his rescue, and as his foster mom, I have gotten to know him very well and would love to talk with you about how great he is.
