Howdy! The name's Butch Cassidy - maybe you've heard of me? Well, that is my name but I'm not *that* Butch Cassidy. I'm no outlaw, I'm a gregarious, spunky boy with the cutest underbite you'll ever see. My days out on the prairie roaming the range are done, I'm ready to settle down and enjoy life in a home with a family who loves me. I'm playful, super smart, curious and engaging with everyone who meets me. I always like to be in the middle of whatever's happening and my antics will make you laugh. I'm sweet, cuddly and love to cuddle too! I do great with other dogs and I like to run and play. I also like toys, taking walks and snacks! So email info@redcollar.org and ask for me - we have a lifetime of adventure waiting for us!

I LOVE… to snuggle in your lap, chase squirrels and FOOD
I HAVE… an under bite that makes me appear mad or unhappy in pictures. I’m really a fun loving guy.
I GET ALONG WITH… people & other dogs, but sometimes I just need a little time to get to know them. I love the 3 large dogs at my foster home.
MY FOSTER MOM SAYS… I’m like a grumpy old man, but in a funny way. Okay, maybe I do complain a little when I’m hungry or my sleep has been disturbed.
I NEED… a warm bed and a sweater in the winter. I feel the cold!
I AM… a small athlete and love to run and jump around the yard.
A PERFECT DAY FOR ME INCLUDES… lots of fun time outside, a good meal then a nap on your lap.
I PREFER NOT TO… be at adoption events. Too many sights and sounds make me nervous.
IF YOUR FAMILY… needs a loyal lap buddy, I’m your guy.
BUTCH IN 3 WORDS… lovable, feisty, funny

Update from Holiday Foster:
(1) Played continually with his foster brother Snickers (2) Played with all the dogs at the dog park (3) walks perfectly on a leash (4) Got along great with the cats (5) Loved all the people there for the holidays and enjoyed a lot of lap time and attention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butch Cassidy, a Boston Italian Greyhound/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Boston, or seeking a Italian Greyhound/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Italian Greyhound/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
