My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANYMORE APPLICATIONS FOR THE PUPPIES. THEY ALL HAVE PENDING ADOPTIONS. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT APPLIED AND WE HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER ONE OF OUR ADULT SCHNAUZERS.

There are Schnauzer puppies that will be available for adoption on or after April 23rd, 2016. DO NOT CALL US ABOUT THE PUPPIES. We cannot answer phone calls about the puppies. If you are interested in adopting a puppy when they are old enough to leave their mom, please submit an application http://schnauzerrescue.net/application.htm All puppies will require a $450 adoption donation plus a refundable $150 spay/neuter deposit. Puppies have docked tails and dew claws removed, they will have their first distemper vaccine. These puppies were born in rescue. Puppy's owner must be willing to take him/her through a basic puppy class and provide proof of completion within four months of the adoption. Proof of enrollment in a dog obedience is required before/at the adoption. If you would like to be considered to adopt a puppy, you must first apply. Then please contact linda@schnauzerrescue.net. If you've already applied, please contact linda@schnauzerrescue.net to be added to the list of those being considered. To apply on-line, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on the on-line application. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and southern Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications within a reasonable driving distance of our areas of coverage. Please read the list at the top of the on-line application to see if you are in our area. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Our website also features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips - plus the best schnauzer items for purchase! All proceeds benefit schnauzers in need. Thanks for your support!
