Mel is a 3-4 year-old Black and Tan Coonhound waiting in Maryland for his new home. Mel is a laid-back hound and an easy keeper. He has been raised with small children and other dogs in the house and gets along great with everyone. While he respects a physical fence, he will escape an invisible or underground fence. Mel will need a home with a fenced yard and could benefit from obedience classes to bond with his new owners. He’s a gentle soul and friendly to everyone he meets. Mel is housetrained and enjoys free run of the house when his humans are away. He is also leashtrained.
