Cutie Pie's Story...
Cutie Pie lived for years outside of a local gym in a maintained colony.  A Stray Cat Blues volunteer had been noticing her for weeks and one day became so alarmed by her heavy breathing that she came with a carrier and took her to a Stray Cat Blues participating vet.  This kind and generous vet kept her for over a month in order to assess her personality and her physical condition.  It was determined that Cutie Pie could only breathe out of one nostril.  She discussed the situation with a veterinary specialist and both agreed that any kind of surgery to correct her nostrils would do more harm than good.  Cutie's health has significantly improved since she is not living in an outdoor colony, but is in a loving foster home.  The vet said she should never go outside again.

Cutie is approx. 5 -years-old and has a tipped ear because she was once a trap/neuter/returned cat.  She loves to rub between her foster's legs and be petted.  She is a sweet and gentle spirit who gets along with kids and other cats.

Cutie is spayed, litterbox trained, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cutie Pie, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
