Ginny's Story...

Meet Ginny, a 6-month-old grey and white female tabby kitty. Ginny is a sweet and playful kitten and enjoys "helping" her foster mom with typing by laying on the keyboard. Ginny also loves her friend Wicket and the two of them play together for hours. Ginny also lives with a dog in her foster home and likes to play with him (and his tail!). She's currently staying in a loving foster home where she's soaking up all of the attention. If you would like to meet Ginny, please contact our Adoption Department at adoption@seattlehumane.org. You'll be glad you did!

Ginny tested positive for Feline Leukemia. When kept indoors, an FeLV-positive cat can live a happy life like any other feline. She is currently living in a volunteer foster home and is available for adoption from foster care. Our staff would be happy to speak with you about FeLV and Ginny’s long-term needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginny, a Bellevue Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
