Regina's Story...

Meet Reigna! This 2-year-old grey tabby gal is a total lap-cat! Reigna came to Seattle Humane when her owner lost her home and could no longer care for her. Once she got to Seattle Humane, it became clear that this loving gal thrived in the presence of other cats. She's currently living with other cats and would love to be adopted with a buddy. This pretty kitty loves to chase the laser pointer and wand toys! She's currently staying in a loving foster home where she's soaking up all of the attention. If you would like to meet Reigna, please contact our Adoption Department at You'll be glad you did!

Reigna tested positive for Feline Leukemia. When kept indoors, an FeLV-positive cat can live a happy life like any other feline. He is currently living in a volunteer foster home and is available for adoption from foster care. Our staff would be happy to speak with you about FeLV and Reigna’s long-term needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Regina, a Bellevue Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
