Gucci's Story...

Meet Gucci, a gorgeous 4-year-old brown malekitty. Gucci is very playful and can be be affectionate with his people but he will let you know when he's done playing. He loves his foster mom but can be wary of new people until they gain his trust. It won't take long though because he's one smart cat! In fact, Gucci is currently learning clicker training! To keep him fit, he eats his dry crunchies in an egg toy that he has to roll around. When he's not playing, he likes to watch the birds in the trees outside of his window. Gucci would do best in a quiet home without other pets. He's currently staying in a loving foster home where he's soaking up all of the attention. If you would like to meet Gucci, please contact our Adoption Department at adoption@seattlehumane.org. You'll be glad you did!

Gucci tested positive for Feline Leukemia. When kept indoors, an FeLV-positive cat can live a happy life like any other feline. He is currently living in a volunteer foster home and is available for adoption from foster care. Our staff would be happy to speak with you about FeLV and Gucci’s long-term needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gucci, a Bellevue Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
