Rose's Story...
Hi there! My name's Rose, and I'm a jack russell mix. I was recently transferred to AFW from another shelter, where I was surrendered by my owner. I'm not sure why they wanted to give such a sweet little girl like me up. Hopefully I'll be able to find a new family who will love me forever and ever.

Before I go to my new home I will be up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and will have a microchip. All I need now is YOU to take me home and love me! Would you be my new best friend??

The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!!!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rose, a Youngwood Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
