Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Star is a gentle loving young girl with one of the best most laid back dispositions. She was born without her left eye but it does not effect her in daily life. She is doing fantastic in her training in New Leash on Life at Brown Creek Correctional. FurBabies is in partnership with The NC Department of Correction and the New Leash on Life Program and she is in the current training class. It is a WIN/WIN/WIN... A WIN for the Inmates because they have the opportunity to work with the animals, which gives them a purpose and an opportunity for employment when they are released from prison, a WIN for the dog because it learns all of the commands to earn it’s Canine Good Citizenship Certificate which is the first step in becoming a therapeutic dog and most schools, nursing homes and other locations allow dogs with Good Citizenship Training to be a part of programs at their facilities, and of course a WIN for the new owner who get and absolutely amazing highly trained rescue dog.
